  16. This package contains two versions of the same UDEL utility :
  17. A command-line DOS version which is able to work in french or english.
  18. A Windows version which works only in english.
  19.  
  20. General features of both versions are the same even if these versions
  21. differ slightly.

  27. UDEL_END.HLP    English help text for the DOS version.

  32. UDEL_EN.CFG     English configuration file (must be renamed UDEL.CFG)

  43. ___________________  How to install UDEL for DOS ?  _________________________

  46. To install UDEL for DOS, you only have to copy files UDEL.EXE, UDEL_xxD.HLP
  47. and UDEL_xx.CFG to the same directory and rename UDEL_EN.CFG to UDEL.CFG
  48. if you want UDEL to work in english or to rename UDEL_FR.CFG to UDEL.CFG
  49. if you want UDEL to work in french.

  51. For a short help about UDEL, type 'UDEL /H' for an english help or 'UDEL /A'
  52. for a french help.

  56. ____________________  How to install UDEL for Windows ? _____________________

  59. To install UDEL for Windows, you only have to copy files UDELW.EXE and
  60. UDEL_ENW.HLP to the same directory and add UDEL to your 'Utilities' group
  61. of applications in the Program Manager or to your application launcher
  62. configuration (Launch, METZ Runner or Desktop Helper, for example).

  70. 1. A '/E' option (DOS version) or an 'Exclude' push button (Windows version)
  71.    to precise a list of files or directories to leave undeleted.

  73. 2. The ability to launch the Windows version in a non-interactive mode with
  74.    command line options like the DOS version.

  76. 3. For the Windows version, the ability to open a 'List of files to delete'
  77.    file like in the DOS version with the /F option.

  127. When you have paid your fee, we send to you a registration number computed from
  128. your name and company.

  133. To make your UDEL DOS version a registrered one, you only have to type
  134.  
  135.         UDEL /W
  136.  
  137. UDEL will ask you your first and last name, your company name and your regis-
  138. tration number as they are written on the form you receive.

  141. > Windows Version :
  142.  
  143. To make your UDEL Windows version a registred one, you only have to launch
  144. UDEl, click on the 'About...' button, click on the 'Register...' button and
  145. finally click on the 'Enter Reg. Number...' button.
  146. Then enter the same informations as for the DOS version.
  147. Please note that the informations you type are written in the UDEL.INI file
  148. and are lost when you copy UDEL to another computer without this file.

  151. Your registration number will be the same one for all future releases of UDEL
  152. including the 1.99 one. No matter the way you have obtained the new versions
  153. of UDEL.

  155. To obtain your new registration number for releases from the 2.00 one, you'll
  156. have to pay a little update fee (probably about 5 $).
